A Creative Design Hotel in Tyrol

A creative design hotel with Tyrolean roots and coziness, including a sophisticated food concept - a meeting place for locals and international guests alike.

In 2016, Markus Rist and his partner Silvia Gschößer took over the second-generation family-run inn and converted it into a temporary "Pop Down Hotel" project.

To achieve this, the hotel underwent an architectural transformation (all white on the outside and a mix of colors on the inside), while at the same time working on the orientation and positioning of the product. After the major renovation phase, the current Mari Pop Hotel was opened in January 2020 under the motto "stay forever". The design hotel now presents itself as modern, cosmopolitan and at the same time close to home. It appeals to architecture and art lovers as well as mountain people and families. The "clubbing" basement of the Mari Pop is often used as a stage by the local literary, music and art scene. On the first floor, locals and guests meet in the lobby, restaurants and hotel bar. On the top floor, those in need of rest will find an ideal relaxation zone in the rooftop spa. In between, there are 45 rooms and suites with modern wood furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows that make nature the main element.

As a trained chef and pastry chef, host Markus Rist has always paid special attention to gastronomy. In the restaurant "Mari-Küche" and the "Tiroler Stube" not only hotel guests enjoy a combination of favorite dishes, old family recipes combined with new developments and food trends. Many vegan and vegetarian creations also find their way onto the menu. Regional products from organic farming are important to Markus Rist. The atmosphere of the kitchen as the central meeting place of the house is supported by the show kitchen, where everyone, whether hotel guest or villager, finds a place.
