Hafenkran | Hamburg (Germany)
The harbor crane in Hamburg represents both innovation and history. But how can such unique experiences be integrated into hotel marketing? Discover creative approaches and best practices to position your hotel brand distinctively with extraordinary concepts.
Übernachten im Hafenkran
Spending the night in the cockpit of a former floating crane in Hamburg's HafenCity is made possible by the Floatel Group, whose micro-hotel concepts focus on unusual locations or, to be more precise, lighthouses.
The location of the historic harbor crane "Greif" is spectacular, with a direct view of the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall and the traditional shipping port. In general, the maritime and adventurous charm of the integrated museum has been preserved, but with a modern, industrial touch. The luxurious bedroom with fireplace and glass front is located in the crane operator's pulpit at a height of 8 meters. A staircase leads down to the former engine room where there is a cozy lounge with a bathroom with an experience shower and access to the outdoor terrace. The 31m² hideaway is designed for two people and is perfect for a romantic getaway. Breakfast is freshly delivered in the morning and in the evening there are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
