Gita the Robot Suitcase - A New Trend for Frequent Travelers?
The Gita robotic suitcase is revolutionizing travel! Discover how this innovative suitcase enhances convenience for frequent travelers and is establishing itself as a new trend in the tourism industry.
Innovation from Boston
The Boston-based startup Piaggio Fast Forward, a spin-off of the renowned Italian vehicle manufacturer Piaggio, recently launched a travel gadget that could become a trend for frequent travelers: "Gita," the robotic suitcase.
With a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, "Gita" can move autonomously and detect obstacles. But perhaps its most interesting feature is its ability to remember the shape of its owner. Using cameras and sensors, the autonomous suitcase stores information about its owner, allowing it to follow him at a distance of up to one meter. Gita also has a capacity of up to 20 kilograms and can be opened and closed via an app. It can also play music through built-in Bluetooth speakers. This first production-ready robot suitcase can be purchased for about $3,250.
From Cult Status to the Future of Travel
Clever marketing has helped Piaggio achieve cult status in the past. Before the first "Vespa" left the factory in 1946, the entire annual production was supposedly sold in advance. Whether the "Gita" also has the potential to become a mega-trend remains to be seen.
