Unique nature experiences as a USP

Unique architecture and design, the integration of elements from outside the industry and original business models are often the hallmarks of innovative hotel concepts. A hotel's location can also be a unique selling point. Two hotel concepts in Africa make use of their surroundings and wildlife to offer guests unique experiences. The communication on social networks is also characterised by these unique selling propositions (USPs) and achieves a viral level of attention on the Internet.

The magical experience at Giraffe Manor

The Giraffe Manor, part of The Safari Collection, is an exclusive boutique hotel near Nairobi, Kenya. Situated on twelve acres of private land in the heart of the African jungle, the stately hotel building has been popular with safari-loving tourists since the 1930s. The luxurious rooms, decorated with natural materials in a typical local design, and the full board restaurant invite you to relax and recharge your batteries between exciting safari tours. But what makes Giraffe Manor so special and so fascinating, in the heart of the African wilderness, is the free-roaming herd of Rothschild's giraffes that come to the hotel for a treat or two. Curiously, the large animals stick their long necks in the windows and surprise guests at the breakfast table or during an idyllic dinner on the terrace.

Luxury, nature, and encounters with mountain gorillas

The luxury hotel Gorilla's Nest, opening in 2019 by the One & Only hotel brand, is located right next to the Volcanoes National Park, the oldest national park in Africa. From the 21 lodges, which offer guests every comfort but above all peace and privacy, you can experience the surrounding nature at close quarters. Large glass fronts, private decks and freestanding bathtubs nestled among eucalyptus trees ensure this. Chef Bryan English's Nest Restaurant serves Rwanda's culinary highlights. The produce is sourced from the hotel's own garden and local farms. However, the attraction and unforgettable experience that makes a visit to Gorilla's Nest unique and distinctive is a walk through the adjacent bamboo forest to meet the endangered mountain gorillas in the wild.
